BIOGRAPHY
Jane Riley
A bit about me.
I live in Batheaston and have my studio just east of Bath in Somerset where I always have paintings on display either completed or work in progress. I belong to the Bathampton group of artists where we have yearly exhibitions where I paint quick portraits on the spot of visitors. I also hold an open studio several times a year here at home.
I paint mainly in oils and my subjects vary from landscapes, portraits of people and animals and also steam trains as I’m artist in residence at Midsomer Norton Heritage steam railway (Somerset and Dorset Railway Heritage Trust)
I have won awards at the Bath prize competition, also the Bristol art prize as well at my art group’s exhibitions. I also paint in water colour and enjoy sketching outdoors.
I’m always happy to take on commissions from photographs.
